A twin brother and sister from the Worth Valley have taken a leap into the unknown by setting up a holiday apartment business in the Austrian Alps. Claire and Francis Hislop, 35, have built and furnished Haus Hislop', a chalet-style building containing four apartments in the Alpbach Valley. Claire, who used to live in Stanbury, near Keighley, and worked in recruitment, said she decided to strike out in a new direction after becoming bored with her life. "I got tired with the daily grind - I was just going to work and watch-ing television," she said. "My brother, Francis, had some cash and was thinking about what to do with it. We had enough to buy the land, then had the apartments built in nine months, starting in October, 2005." Miss Hislop spends most of her time living at the apartments in Inneralpbach, while her brother, who is a welder, mainly stays in Stanbury. She said Inneralpbach, which is more than 1,000 me-tres above sea level, offers plenty of summer activities, including mountain river kayaking and paragliding.
