Detectives are hunting four muggers with a dog who robbed a young man in the street.

The 24-year-old victim was walking in Back Lindum Terrace, Manningham, Bradford, when he was surrounded by four Asian youths, one of them holding a brown and white Staffordshire bull terrier.

One of the men grabbed him and searched his pockets, stealing his wallet containing nearly £80, before they all ran off.

The dog was not used to threaten the victim, who was shaken but not injured.

All four suspects were aged between 18 and 20. The man with the dog was 5ft 8ins tall and was wearing blue jeans, black jumper and black boots.

Another suspect was 6ft tall, with a goatee beard, and was wearing a black Nike tracksuit.

Detectives believe the robbery may be linked to a previous incident when a similar dog was involved.

Anyone with information about the mugging is asked to contact Bradford North CID on (01274) 376259, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
