A heartbroken son is offering a £1,000 reward for the return of family jewellery stolen in a raid at his home.
Sukhbinder Singh returned home after visiting a relative to find his house had been broken into and around 30 bangles, necklaces, rings and earrings stolen.
Mr Singh, a Council housing officer, inherited the jewellery when his mother, Kirpal Kaur, died aged 51 two years ago.
He said today: "I am willing to pay a £1,000 reward for the recovery of the jewellery. I know it is a lot of money but all I want is my jewellery back.
"It was passed down from my mother, who I was very close to, and this loss is close to my heart. The jewellery is worth between £4,000 and £5,000 but, sentimentally, it is priceless."
Computer equipment and electrical tools were also stolen in the burglary in Wyndham Avenue, King's Park, Bradford, but Mr Singh said all he was bothered about was his mother's property.
The rings and necklaces are traditional Asian wedding jewellery and some are 25 years old.
One of the items is a gold necklace attached to a distinctive red rope.
Mr Singh urged anyone with information about the stolen jewellery to contact Crimestoppers anonymously.
Bradford North CID have appealed for information about the burglary, which happened between 6.30pm and 8.15pm on Sunday, December 10.
Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who has been offered such jewellery for sale. Call police on (01274) 376259, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
