TWO solicitors are organising a car boot sale next month to raise money for Homeless International and its work to help families in poverty.
Milena Falciano and Rosemary Keczkes, who work for social housing landlord Incommunities, will join other volunteers rebuilding homes in one of the most remote parts of southern Asia.
In a statement they said: "The two of us are working hard to raise as much as possible for the charity’s Nepal Community Challenge and help families rebuild their homes and their lives.
"We thought a car boot sale would be a great fundraising idea as it will appeal to local enthusiasts."
They have so far raised £1,350 towards the trip, organised by the charity, with a target of £6,000.
The car boot sale will take place in the car park of Incommunities’ Shipley base, The Quays, on Victoria Street, on Sunday, August 3, between 6am and 1pm.
Pitches are £8 per car, £10 for a car with trailer and £10 to £15 for a van.
On-site car parking will be available for £2 per vehicle. All proceeds will go towards the charitable cause.
