Education bosses have formally recommended that a primary school dubbed "the worst in the country" should close.
At a meeting held yesterday, representatives from Education Bradford and Bradford Council decided to publish statutory notices to close Usher Street Primary at the end of this school year.
The school has been under the watch of Government inspectors longer than any other primary in England.
Education bosses had previously outlined plans to close the ailing school and today's decision was made after the conclusion of a six-week consultation period.
