Around 1,000 visitors flocked to the revived Baildon Carnival, which was back after a year’s absence to provide family fun at the town’s Jenny Lane Fields.
Activities included a 5k fell race, a funfair, come-and-try sports sessions, a 50s-style refreshment tent, and a children’s fancy dress parade.
Joe Ashton, vice-chairman of Baildon Town Council, said: “Everyone is really chuffed with how the day went.”
We made a conscious effort to promote the event through local schools, and they were lots of young families there enjoying themselves.”
