Deano's move to Hull came as a bit of a shock to the lads when they heard.

You get a lot of speculationsurrounding him and there were a number of times when he was supposedly going offsomewhere and it didn't happen.

So it was a big surprise to see him putting his boots in a bin liner and announcing that he was off to Hull on loan.

The dressing room has been a little quieter since he's gone, apart from the lads trying to decide when we should arrange the party to celebrate. Onlyjoking Deano!

There is a bit of an argument going on about who will be taking the penalties from now on. A few have put their names forward but if it was down to me I'd probably go for Bridgey.

He took one last season against Brentford in a pressure situation when we were losing in the last minute and scored and he has been playing well.

Deano scored a lot of goals for us over the last two-and-a-half years in this division and he will leave a void that needs to be filled - but I know our strikers are all confident enough to do that.

We've got Eddie Johnsoncoming back from injury now as well as JJ, who has shown that he can be just as dangerous up front as he is on the right wing. David Hibbert has also come in and done a good job.

Bridgey can pop up with the goals from midfield and Schuey scored again the other week at Port Vale and will be looking to get more.

We're all looking forward to playing at Tranmere tomorrow night, which is always a good one. I was talking with Wethers and Ben Muirhead yesterday about the game two years when we won 5-4 - I don't think you'll ever see another one like that.

But last season's 2-2 draw was also exciting and the lads are confident that we can start life without Deano with another good result to keep our push up the table going.
