Incommunities is making car parking available at its Shipley base this weekend for the Grand Départ in support of the housing group’s growing youth charity work.

The Quays car park, off Victoria Street, will offer 180 spaces and is located close to Shipley and Saltaire rail stations.

The car park will be open from 7am tomorrow and Sunday. Staff volunteers from the housing group will be coordinating the parking over the two days.

The cost is £5 per car per day for bookings made in advance via PayPal – go to www.incommunities.co.uk Advanced bookings will give you access to the car park from 5.30am each day. The price is £8 for people paying on the day.

All the income raised will go towards Incommunities Foundation - Young Peoples Fund, a charity which supports local youth projects.

Greg Robinson, Incommunities’ Assistant Chief Executive, Resources, said: “Incommunities is delighted to be supporting the Yorkshire stages of this fantastic international sporting event.

“With thousands of people expected to line the routes on both days we are opening up our car park for visitors. The car park is ideally located for rail and bus connections to key sites of both Yorkshire stages of the Tour de France."
