Stressed-out Bradfordians can enjoy a peaceful start to 2007 with a course in meditation.

Kashyapa Buddhist Centre in Manningham is starting an introductory course that will cover the basics of meditation and explain how people can benefit from it.

The class is run by experienced instructor Buddhist monk Kelsang Khechog and will include sessions on learning to meditate, overcoming problems such as stress, anger and discontent, and special methods on how to improve our relationships.

Kelsang said: "Everyone can benefit from these teachings, whether they just want to learn to relax or whether they want to follow an authentic spiritual path. It is well known that meditation can help us to relax and cope with stress as well as giving us a more positive outlook on life."

There is no need to book, just turn up on the night and there is no commitment to attend every class.
