A TEAM of riders from a Bradford chemicals distributor got on their bikes to raise funds as part of a national cycling tour.
The 12-strong squad of employees from Univar's Thornbury base in Aquarius House, Midpoint, took part in a six-hour bike ride on Monday.
Their leg formed part of Univar on Tour, a 350-mile cycling tour of Britain to support local charities. The event began from Bradford yesterday and will see 35 volunteer riders from Univar's staff taking part until Thursday.
Their ride took in Wetherby Whaler, Burley-in-Wharfdale, lunch at Bolton Abbey, finishing up in Skipton and Bingley.
Bradford's staff will raise money for the Hollybank Trust, an organisation which provides education, care and homes for children, young people and adults in West Yorkshire who have profound physical disabilities and associated learning difficulties.
The nationwide tour will also take in Univar's sites in Middlesbrough, Chertsey and Cardiff.
