The Bulls today announced a series of special events to mark the club's centenary season - including the chance for T&A readers to vote for their best players from the last 100 years.

Rugby league in the city has seen plenty of glory days since Bradford Northern was formed in 2007 and the Bulls are keen to celebrate them all.

Chairman Peter Hood, pictured below, said: "2007 is obviously a momentous year for the club and we are planning a series of events that will allow the fans and the players that have contributed to its proud and illustrious history to celebrate this great landmark.

"I know Steve McNamara and the squad are really focused to make this a special year on the field.

"And with our planned events off the field, supporters both young and old will have the opportunity to not only enjoy the stars of 2007 but also to learn and reminisce about past seasons and former players."

Those occasions get underway with the traditional squad presentation evening, which will be held in the Coral Stand at the Grattan Stadium on Monday, February 5.

Each first-team player will be presented with their shirt for Super League XII and special video footage marking the start of the centenary season will be shown, with an opportunity for supporters to mingle with the squad.

February will also see the launch of the Bradford Team of the Century.

This, being run in conjunction with the T&A, is an opportunity for supporters to vote on the 13 best players to wear the famous red, amber and black.

Supporters will have the chance to read up on candidates in the Bulls' match-day programmes during the season and also in the T&A, where they will be able to cast their votes.

The final line-up is due to be announced when Leeds Rhinos arrive at Odsal on September 2 - 100 years to the day after Northern played their first match.

Meanwhile, Bulls will hold a special centenary dinner on Thursday, May 24 - likewise, exactly 100 years to the day of the original meeting which led to the formation of Bradford Northern RLFC.
