Staff and customers at Tesco in Queensbury have raised £500 for their charity of the Year, Diabetes UK.
Staff nominated managers to sit in a paddling pool and get ‘gunked’ in cold baked beans. Several of the managers were ‘volunteered’ to help raise the sum and all did remarkably well, according to Community Champion. David Lightfoot. One absentee was store manager Steve Dawson who is taking part in his own ordeal on his bicycle, replicating the three steepest climbs on the route of the Tour de France in the French Alps in aid of Diabetes UK. Pictured is store personnel manager Terri Ripleysitting in the tank.
