Market traders in a town have been allowed three extra days of trading to make up with a clash with July’s Grand Depart of the Tour de France.
The first extra day, for traders in Skipton, will be held on Sunday as part of the Waterway Festival.
Market stalls will take up their usual positions along Skipton High Street.
Town centre manager Brett Butler said: “The extra market day will complement the activities already taking place in the town centre – including the Waterway Festival which runs over the whole weekend – and we hope that visitors will be able to make a real day of it visiting both the festival in the Canal Basin and then taking a trip to the High Street to grab a bargain on the market.”
