Homewares retailer Dunelm will open its latest store in Keighley next month in a move which has created 70 jobs.
The new 30,000 sq ft store will take the number of Dunelm stores in the UK at 144.
The latest outlet will open on May 22. It is spread over two floors – a ground floor of 18,500 sq ft and a 11,500 sq ft mezzanine.
The Keighley store will be opened by Keighley town mayor, Councillor Graham Mitchell, accompanied by Dunelm’s charity mascot Barney the Bear, representing its nominated charity Barnardo’s.
In addition to a wide range of bed linen, lighting, art and mirrors, cushions and cushion covers, readymade curtains, rugs and fabrics, the new store will also provide a made-to-measure curtains, blinds and accessories service with a choice of more than 4,000 fabrics.
There will also be a dedicated Dorma bedding department, a furniture section, a cookshop and dining and bedding area.
The Keighley store will be open seven days a week and include a coffee shop.
Nick Wharton, Dunelm chief executive, said: “It takes a lot of hard work, investment and commitment getting a new store up and running. We are confident that Keighley will continue to play a big part in the continued success of the company and look forward to introducing local shoppers to our diverse homewares offering.”
