Garage staff in Bradford haves demonstrated their car know-how and generosity by digging deep for a Bangers and Cash charity challenge.

St Enoch’s Garage in Wibsey took part in the four-day nationwide challenge which raised £8,500 for automotive charity BEN.

The challenge, which is led by independent garage scheme Trust My Garage (TMG), saw two teams from TMG travel the length and breadth of the country in two old bangers, visiting as many members as possible in four days.

St Enoch’s was one of the many members that was visited en route and it made a personal donation to the charity.

Terry Gibson, of TMG, said: “This has been a great event and we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our TMG members. As well as raising valuable funds for BEN, it has increased the awareness of the Trust My Garage Brand.”

, demonstrating to consumers that wherever you are within the UK, you are never far away from an independent garage that will offer great service and great value.”

St Enoch’s also runs an On Trak Community Initiative alongside its workshop. The initiative is a social enterprise that helps young people gain vital work skills in the automotive industry.

BEN is a charity for those who work, or have worked, in the automotive and related industries, as well as their dependants.
