An event is being held in Keighley to boost support for older people’s groups.
The gathering aims to showcase the benefits offered by Keighley Elderly Initiatives Group (KEIG).
Representatives of various organisations and agencies will be attending the event, at Keighley Healthy Living, Scott Street, on Friday, May 2, from 12.30pm to 3.15pm.
KEIG chairman Ernie Lloyd said: “This is an opportunity for all the groups and clubs in Keighley to work together for the older community, as well as looking at ways in which we can address concerns and raise awareness about any issues.
“We are here to help support those groups, societies etc in keeping their activities going and keeping them vibrant.”
KEIG will outline how membership of the umbrella organisation helps groups access funding information and details of initiatives, provision and agencies.
And its committee is collating a directory of services and activities, which groups are asked to contribute to.
