Young people interested in design and enterprise can attend a free ‘boot camp’ next month.
Fab Lab Airedale is running the design and enterprise event for 16 to 18-year-olds, in conjunction with medical supplier DePuy Synthes, which is offering accompanying work placements.
The camp, running from April 7 to 11, will feature a series of activities aimed at inspiring students to be innovative and learn skills in design, product development and engineering.
They will get involved in business and enterprise activities, accessing the Dalton Lane-based Fab Lab’s equipment, which includes 3D printers and laser cutters. The week will conclude with a presentation to a group of ‘Dragons’ from DePuy Synthes and a prize-giving session. Call (01535) 606703 or e-mail info@fablabairedale.org for further information.
