A heritage walk is planned for tomorrow when people can learn about the history of land in the local area.
Tony Woods will lead the two-hour walk which starts at Cliffe Wood Avenue, close to The Branch pub, Shipley, at 10.15am.
The walk will include information about coal and clay pits, a quarry and brickworks in an area that is currently a bowling club and tennis courts; two small coal pits in Old Spring Wood and the use of the meadows and playing fields for mining, golfing and listening to brass bands.
