People are invited to get involved at a bright celebration being held tomorrow in aid of the Telegraph & Argus Crocus Cancer Appeal.

There will be performances from cheerleading, African arts and ju-jitsu societies at the Univers-ity event when people of all ages and abilities can try activities for free or for a small donation.

The Colours Carnival will be held at Student Central at the University of Bradford, from 10am to 4pm. Highlights will include a charity auction at noon with items including a bat signed by Imran Khan and the finale of the day, the Holi Festival of Colour.

The T&A Bradford Crocus Cancer Appeal aims to raise £1 million towards making the city’s ground-breaking work to fight the disease faster than ever before. The appeal is being run with the University, Sovereign Health Care Charitable Trust and Yorkshire Cancer Research, will use the money towards a hi-tech machine that could hold the breakthrough to developing less toxic and more targeted tumour-blasting cancer treatments.
