Bradford teenager Keeley Eastwood, 17, said goodbye to her long locks and hello to more than £1,000 raised so far by her hair-cutting feat for The Little Princess charity which makes wigs for poorly children who lose their own hair while being treated for serious illnesses.
About ten to 13 inches of hair got the chop, said her mum Julie Eastwood.
She said: “It's something Keeley heard about and decided she wanted to do. I'm very proud of her.”
Posters looking for support have gone up around Thornton and at Cutting Worx in Thornton Road where Keeley, a Thornton Grammar School pupil, had her hair cut.
