A Bradford florist has raised hundreds of pounds for charity by creating a patchwork wall-hanging to mark International Women’s Day.
Nazia Koser, who runs FlowerFarosh in Whetley Close, off White Abbey Road, invited women to pop in to her shop to join group Sewing Bradford in creating the work, which she hopes to have hung somewhere in the city. “It went brilliantly well, and I was really shocked by the positive response,” she said. “We did around 70 patchwork squares on the day, but people are still donating them so we will definitely reach our target of 100. I have even had people coming in from outside the Bradford district telling me what a great idea the patchwork is.”
