A teenage “three strikes” house burglar was yesterday locked up in a young offender institution for 29 months.
Liam Green, 18, of Swainhouse Road, Swain House, Bradford, pleaded guilty to breaking into a house in the city with a crowbar on February 14.
He asked the court to take into consideration 26 further offences, including three more house burglaries.
A letter to Bradford Crown Court from the police said Green was “polite and positive” while wiping his criminal slate clean by owning up to unsolved offences dating back to 2007.
The judge, Recorder David Kelly, said Green was genuinely remorseful and wished to draw a line under his past and make a fresh start.
