Children from Worthinghead Primary School in Wyke are set to take part in a UK-wide cookery competition to invent a sweet or savoury berry recipe and help inspire other children to eat healthily.
The Ready Berry Cook competition has been launched by CBBC’s Stefan Gates in partnership with Seasonal Berries and The Children’s Food Trust, and was created to help encourage children to learn to cook from scratch and lead healthier lifestyles.
The winning team, announced in January, will be invited to cook with Stefan Gates from CBBC, win £500 worth of kitchen equipment and have their recipe published on the Children’s Food Trust website. The Ready Berry Cook competition is open to all UK schools, nurseries and children’s centers.
