Bradford Bulls’ Heritage Team will visit four libraries across the district as part of the national ‘Try Reading’ scheme.

The team will encourage children to get into reading by delivering special storytelling sessions during next week’s half-term, a period that coincides with the start of the 2013 Rugby League World Cup on Saturday.

Sessions will take place at Eccleshill Library on Wednesday, October 30, at 2pm, Clayton Library on Thursday, October 31 at 10.30am, Wibsey Library on Thursday, October 31 at 2pm and Wyke Library on Friday November 1 at 2pm.

Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Culture, said: “These free story-telling sessions will attract sports fans who might not otherwise attend library events.” The free sessions are open to children aged between five and eleven, and places can be booked by contacting library staff.
