Creative youngsters can sprinkle some festive magic on the Telegraph & Argus Bradford Crocus Cancer Appeal by designing the official T&A Christmas card.

Children aged between four and 14 can enter our competition by drawing a Christmas scene, complete with our T&A Bradford Crocus Cancer Appeal logo, for the chance to see their artwork go on sale in aid of our £1 million fundraising campaign.

The overall winner of our competition, sponsored by the Leisure Exchange, Bradford, will also win an iPad.

We have joined forces with Bradford University, Yorkshire Cancer Research and the Sovereign Health Care Charitable Trust to buy the University’s Institute of Cancer Therapeutics a high-tech mass spectrometer – a machine which could hold the key to its scientists making a vital discovery in the war on cancer.

But we need your help to hit our ambitious target.

Our Christmas card can feature anything you like, so long as it has a clear Christmas theme and incorporates the T&A Bradford Crocus Cancer Appeal logo.

There are three age categories – four to six, seven to 10 and 11 to 14.

The winners of the three different age groups – as chosen by T&A readers – will each receive £100 to spend on art materials, while the overall winner will win an iPad.

The winners will be announced in the T&A during the week beginning November 18 2013, with the Christmas card going on sale soon afterwards to raise vital funds for the T&A Bradford Crocus Cancer Appeal.

To enter, all you have to do is paint or draw a colour Christmas scene, complete with Christmas greeting, incorporating the T&A Bradford Crocus Cancer Appeal logo.

The picture, including the message, should be created on an A4 sheet of paper, with the wider edges at the top and bottom.

Once completed, fill in the coupon, which can be downloaded here and send it to: The T&A 2013 Christmas Card competition, c/o Charlotte Wood, Promotions Department, Telegraph & Argus, Hall Ings, Bradford BD1 1JR.

Entries can also be handed in at the T&A Office, in Hall Ings, and at the offices of the Keighley News in North Street, Keighley; the Ilkley Gazette and Wharfedale & Aireborough Observer in Wells Road, Ilkley; and the Craven Herald in High Street, Skipton.

Your entry must reach us by 5pm on Thursday, November 7, 2013.

After the closing date, a panel of judges will pick the best entries from across the district to appear in a special T&A supplement on November 15 and readers will be invited to vote for their favourite by text or phone.
