Bradford councillor Roger L’Amie has resigned his position on Baildon town council to concentrate on tackling the district’s education issues.
Coun L’Amie is the Conservative spokesman on children’s services and said that subjuct now demanded more of his time. “I came to the conclusion that some of the education issues in Bradford are so serious that I need to concentrate on that area more,” said Coun L’Amie, who joined Baildon town council six years ago. “I have really enjoyed my time, but I feel some sort of change is needed.
“I’m still a governor at Shipley College and Hoyle Court School, plus organising the Poppy Appeal as chairman of Baildon British Legion. Education in Bradford is such an important matter that I really feel I must devote more time to it.”
