Aire Valley artists now have the chance to suggest ideas for exhibits at the Yorkshire Armed Forces Sculpture Trail, due to open in Baildon next summer.
Ferniehurst Dell, a popular nature spot, is to be transformed with at least a dozen sculptures along its pathway.
The trail was the brainchild of town councillor and former soldier Ian Lyons, who with volunteers from the Ferniehurst Dell Improve- ment Partnership, has already secured a grant of £75,000.
Coun Lyons said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for artists to work with service veterans.
“The aim is to encourage the community and a wide range of visitors to recognise the sacrifice service personnel make while serving our country.”
The trail’s opening would coincide with the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of The Great War.
