A Kashmiri restaurant has been given planning permission to install signs outside its Ilkley branch, after two previous unsuccessful attempts.
Bradford Council has granted planning permission for three signs at Aagrah restaurant at The Moors shopping centre, which is in the Ilkley Conservation Area.
Ilkley Civic Society had opposed the application, saying the amount of signage was “totally unnecessary” and a case of “oversignage” in a prominent location.
But planning officers said two of the signs had been on the building for several years, and were merely being changed to include the Aagrah logo.
Two previous applications for signage at the restaurant had been refused because of the harm they could cause to the conservation area.
