Ryecroft Primary Academy in Holme Wood, Bradford, is celebrating its best SATs results ever this year.

Year 6 pupils are celebrating with scores that show a marked increase year on year.

In Maths, 70 per cent achieved Level 4+ in 2012 and this year the figure was 91 per cent – which is seven per cent above the national average.

In reading the result was even higher, rising from 43 per cent who achieved Level 4+ last year to 96 per cent this year. And the score for writing at 78 per cent rose from 48 per cent.

Headteacher, Jayne Clarke said she was thrilled with the leap in achievement.

“This year’s children in Year 6 are the first year group that has been nurtured by my team from the beginning. One child got full marks on the reading test and another dropped only minimal marks on maths.
