Two quick-thinking neighbours threw buckets of water through a kitchen window after an arsonist set fire to blinds. The men heard the smoke alarm sounding from the empty ground floor flat in Valley Road, Shipley, at 12.30am yesterday. Firefighters had to break into the flat to clear the smoke and staff at social housing group Incommunties were called to secure the home.
