A mother escaped a bedroom blaze at her Bradford home when a smoke alarm activated last night.
Fire investigation officers are looking into what caused the fire at the house in Wheatlands Avenue, Heaton, at 8.35pm.
A crew from Fairweather Green was at the scene for about three hours.
Watch Commander Paul Austin said the damage was not extensive and the damage was minimal as they managed to get to the incident quickly.
Firefighters knocked on neighbouring doors to make residents aware of the incident and to raise awareness of fire risk issues.
