Thieves have stolen a generator that was going to be used at a fundraising concert for a cancer hospice today.
Two men in a green Passat stole the 3 1/2 KVA generator from Highcliffe Farm, Lees Moor, near Keighley, at around noon yesterday.
They swooped in, loaded the generator into their vehicle and sped off, nearly hitting farm owner Richard Wood in the process.
The generator was going to be used to keep the beer chilled at this weekend’s Woodfest music event, a concert held to raise money for the Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice in Oxenhope.
More than 20 bands are scheduled to perform over the course of the weekend.
The generator has been described as yellow and with two wheels. Two cans of petrol were also stolen in the raid.
