A charity is throwing down the gauntlet to businesspeople in Bradford to sleep rough and raise money.
Simon on the Streets, which supports the homeless in the city as well as in Leeds and Huddersfield, has pencilled in its fourth event as it aims to bring in sponsorship to try to cut down on those sleeping rough.
With a target of £20,000, the charity hopes 100 people will join the sponsored sleep out on Thursday, September 26, to be held somewhere in the city centre. Clive Sandle, director of Sleep Out, said: “We’ve really come to depend on the funds that the Sleep Out generates.”
Helen Beachell, development manager at Simon on the Streets, said: “We’re always delighted to welcome a new partner or build on an existing relationship with a company that’s been generous in the past.”
