Sunbathers looked on as members of Christchurch in Ilkley held a service at the ‘rocky beach’ on the River Wharfe.
The reason for the unusual location was that two young members of the church wanted to be baptised in the river.
Minister, the Rev Rob Hilton, said: “Baptising these young people in the river was a wonderful experience for them and for us, their church family, and was well received by local people visiting the river.”
