Bradford-based ACT (Actors Community Theatre) is bringing Shakespeare to Bradford Cathedral.
Rather aptly, the production, which celebrates ACT’s tenth anniversary, is A Midsummer NIght’s Dream. Intertwining plot lines weave the impending marriage of the Duke of Athens and the conquered Amazonian Queen, our thwarted young lovers escaping into the wood, some “rude mechanicals” rehearsing a silly play for the wedding, and fairies of the night who do their best to cause mischief on Midsummer Night.
The play is from July 18 to 20 at 7.15pm, with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm. Performances will be in the grounds if fine and inside if raining. Tickets are on (0113) 3930929 or eluddi@talktalk.net.
