A disused cafe was set alight by arsonists in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters were first called to the former Hollybank Cafe, in Great Horton Road, just after midnight, after a pile of rubbish outside the building was set on fire.
They were then called out again, less than an hour later at 1.20am, to a fire inside the building itself.
Odsal fire station crew commander Neil Harrison said: “There was a fire on the ground floor, in a couple of rooms.
“To be honest, there had been a fire in there before. I wouldn’t say it was gutted, but it was severely damaged on the ground floor.
“It looks like it has been boarded up but somebody is getting in it.
“It was definitely deliberate ignition. It has been passed on to the police.”
Mr Harrison said it took the crews from Odsal and Bradford used hoses, breathing apparatus and a fan to put out the blaze.
He said: “We were there for about two hours altogether, extinguishing the flames and damping down.”
