This group of Samuel Lister Academy students achieved fifth place in a national engineering competition.
Academy students Hamza Ikhtiar, 14, James Bradley, 13, and Usman Afzal, 13, entered the British Model Flying Association – Universities and Schools Electric Lift Challenge.
It is a European competition with two elements – electric lift or heavy lift challenge.
The team of three were the only team from a secondary school to take part in the competition.
The rest of the competitors were made up of students from across Europe studying Masters degrees, of which this competition formed part of their studies.
After receiving the JETEX Trophy for endeavour last year, the Academy team reached fifth out of 16 teams.
