A local cancer support group is taking action to secure its future following the runaway success of its first 12 months.
Keighley and Airedale Cancer Support wants to transform the initial enthusiasm of volunteers into long-term success.
Founders Rachael Moorhouse and Adele Smithhurst – who have fought breast cancer – are now seeking more volunteers.
They are making the organisation more ‘official’ with an AGM, constitution, trustees and possible charitable status.
Rachael said: “We’re at the stage where we need to move forward. It was getting quite big and we need more people on board.”
Anyone wishing to volunteer with Keighley and Airedale Cancer Support should contact 07940 291937.
The annual general meeting will be next Thursday, July 18, from noon at Keighley Civic Centre.
