Sentence was yesterday adjourned on a former Bradford and Keighley Youth Parliament member, who has admitted reckless arson, because psychiatric and probation reports were not ready.
Matthew Dutton, 21, of Thursby Street, Barkerend, Bradford, had been due to be sentenced at Bradford Crown Court but his case had to be adjourned until September 5.
The young social campaigner is being held in custody at Leeds Prison after admitting arson being reckless as to whether life was endangered.
He was dragged by rescuers from his blazing flat after he set it on fire in a suicide bid, at 2am on Sunday, May 19.
He was treated in hospital for smoke inhalation and £1,000 damage was caused.
