Keighley's intrepid team of Mongol Rally competitors are driving through Eastern Europe.

The four men set off from the UK on Sunday for the gruelling 10,000-mile drive across Europe and Asia.

By Monday, they had reached the Czech Republic and were driving towards Turkey and Georgia.

The quartet, using the name Four Men Seven Brows, reported that they were a little tired following the rally’s launch party.

The team is made up of Oakworth men Bob Jackson, Josh Chittenden and Oli Keighley, and Long Lee man Matthew Smith.

There have been sponsored to raise cash for Sue Ryder – which runs Manorlands – Macmillan Cancer Support and rainforest charity Cool Earth.

People can follow the team’s progress day by day on a map at the website 4men7brows.co.uk.
