Bradford-based choir Chordiality helped raise £860 for Macmillan Cancer Support when the 32-strong mixed voice choir performed at St Saviour’s Church in Harden.
Local organiser Jenny Wrightson said: “The concert was first class and everyone that came enjoyed themselves. People commented on how their spirits were lifted along with the sunshine to raise a remarkable £860 for such a worthy cause.”
The choir started by musical director Peter Sherlock celebrated their 20th anniversary this year.
All proceeds from the concert will go to Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that improves the lives of people affected by cancer, providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support.
Schofield Sweeney Solicitors of Bradford sponsored the evening.
Hayley Cooke, from Macmillan Cancer Support in Bradford said “Thank you to everyone involved in making the night a fantastic success. We're so delighted that Chordiality supported Macmillan at this fundraising event and will use the money raised to continue to develop our services to meet the needs of local people affected by cancer.”
