A primary school is celebrating after being rated good by school inspectors.
Education watchdog Ofsted visited Marshfield Primary School in Little Horton, Bradford, and has now published its report.
Inspectors said children began the school at “typically well below average” starting points but went on to make good progress, leaving school with results that were average for their age.
It said pupils behaved well, felt safe and had good relationships with staff.
It said: “Teaching often has a good pace and teachers’ good questioning ensures pupils are fully involved. Many of the teaching assistants offer high-quality support for pupils.”
The report said the school was not yet outstanding because “the quality of teaching is not yet consistently outstanding and a very small minority requires improvement”.
Head teacher Colleen Jackson said: “We are delighted with this glowing report as it reflects how we see the school.
“Parents, pupils, staff and governors have all worked hard to bring about the improvements which have led to Marshfield being judged good in this new Ofsted phase.”
