Police are appealing for information to trace a Bradford Cathedral administrator who has been reported missing from his home.

Harrogate police are appealing for the public's help to find Christopher Aldred, 53, of Harrogate, who was last seen at Bradford Cathedral this morning. (7 June)

But after leaving work he did not return home and officers are concerned for his welfare.

Mr Aldred's vehicle, a yellow Smart car with the registration KK08 DVG, was seen travelling west on the M62 earlier today and officers are urging the public to report any sightings of the car or Mr Aldred.

Mr Aldred is described as white, five ft nine inches tall, with green eyes and short, light brown wavy hair, with a tanned complexion.

Inspector Andy Chapman, of North Yorkshire Police, said: "We are concerned for Mr Aldred's welfare and I urge anyone who sees anyone matching his description to contact the police as soon as possible.

"I would also urge people to report any sightings of Mr Aldred's yellow Smart car, which is quite distinctive."
