Students are being warned not to give their bank details to people calling saying they are from the University of Bradford.
The University of Bradford Union of Students said there have been recent incidents of calls being made alleging to be from the university, asking students to confirm bank account details.
It said the university would never ask people to do this by phone.
The Union said there were also e-mails circulating that appear to be from a bank asking people to confirm their details. Scam telephone calls can be reported to hub@ bradford.ac.uk.
