A long-serving Ilkley parish councillor has been chosen as vice-chairman elect. Councillor Andrew Walbank, believed to be the second longest-serving member of Ilkley Parish Council, is to become vice-chairman in May. Coun Walbank represents the Ilkley South ward and is chairman of the council’s plans committee and project manager for the town’s allotments. Councillor Mike Gibbons is to be council chairman for the next council year.
