Bradford Bulls’ owners have today announced a half-season ticket deal, which means fans can watch the remainder of the club’s Super League campaign for £99.

Restaurant boss Omar Khan and club honorary chairman and former Sports Minister Gerry Sutcliffe are urging fans to back the famous rugby league side – which is sitting third in the Super League table – by boosting attendances at its Provident Stadium home.

Bradford South MP Mr Sutcliffe said: “It’s been six months since we took over the club and things are going really well both on and off the pitch.

“The supporters have been fantastic so far and we have some great games coming up in the next couple of months against Wigan, Warrington and Leeds Rhinos.

“It’s a great time for sport in Bradford, with Bradford City pushing for the play-offs, Susan Smith’s Grand National success – and Bulls are third in the Super League.

“This is the time to rally round the club – we still need the support of fans and Bradford businesses.”

At the start of the season, Bulls bosses revealed fans would have to pay twice as much for their season tickets compared with the former defunct Bradford Bulls Holdings’ prices to bring the struggling side back to a “sound financial footing”.

An early-bird offer saw the cheapest season tickets sold for £180 in the Terrace, which rose to £220 after a December deadline.

The top-flight side has 6,458 season ticket holders and Mr Sutcliffe said he hoped the £99 deal, for the Terrace, would encourage more fans to cheer on Franny Cummins’ men in its remaining fixtures.

Attendances at Odsal have averaged at about 8,500 this season.

Anyone who buys a half-season ticket before Friday will be able to attend Sunday’s game against Wigan at Odsal for free.

To buy tickets, call the club on 08448 711490 or visit the ticket office.

Meanwhile, Mr Khan and Mr Sutcliffe will answer supporters’ questions during a fans’ forum on Saturday.

The event, where club chiefs will give an update on things that are happening at the club, will be held in the Coral Stand from 7pm.
