T&A League leaders U-Save Albion almost claimed a major scalp as they pushed Wibsey all the way in the Bradford & District FA Saturday Senior Cup.

Muhaghid Malik and an own goal gave Albion a 2-0 advantage and their County Amateur League Premier Division opponents looked down and out.

But superior fitness and experience eventually proved crucial for Wibsey as they won the second-round tie 3-2 thanks to goals from Damian Melvin and a second-half double by James Speight.

But the T&A League will have a representive in the quarter-finals as IMS Celtic progressed by thrashing their divisional rivals Gateway Athletic 11-3.

Mick Walker bagged a hat-trick and the remaining goals were split between Mick Kelsey (2), Simon Marriott (2), Charlie White, Chris Simmons, Mathew Andrews and Nick Siduski as IMS ran amok.

Salts gained revenge for their League Cup defeat at the hands of Dudley Hill Rangers with a 2-1 home win.

Gareth Gott's late goal settled the outcome after Charlie Briggs had opened the scoring, with Wayne Chippendale equalising for the visitors.

Bradford Park Avenue conceded ground advantage to Crag Road United and were taken to extra-time before edging home 4-3.

Jordan Missin put South Bradford ahead against Campion but the lead was shortlived as Chris Graham's hat-trick and a Roland Egege double turned the tables for a 5-1 victory.

There was no joy for Dynamoes at Thackley as, after reaching half-time level at 1-1, the County Amateur side collapsed to an 8-1 defeat.

Quarter-final draw: Bradford PA v Tyersal, Salts v Campion, Fields v IMS Celtic, Thackley v Wibsey.

Dudley Hill Athletic are still looking for a first Mumtaz Division Two win after narrowly losing 1-0 at home to leaders Brighouse Town Reserves.

Athletic matched their opponents all the way, with the exception of a slip in the first half that let in Emile De-Marco to score the only goal of the game.

Tyersal Reserves completed a league and cup double over Wibsey Reserves with a 3-2 home success, having ousted them in extra-time last week.

It means Tyersal stay second in the table behind Brighouse after a second-half winner from Andy Bailey.

Jamie McEwan had earlier netted twice for Tyersal, with Jamie and Des Brennan netting the Wibsey replies.

Two Andy Wilson goals led Campion Reserves to a 4-2 home victory over Hemsworth Reserves, while Mirfield-based Lower Hopton Reserves gained their first points of the season with a 3-1 success at Barclays.

Two games in the top two divisions both ended in draws.
