Police Community Support Officers were abused and threatened with violence when they went to a house in Holme Wood, Bradford.
They were carrying out a disruption visit on a suspected burglar when, on arrival, they were threatened by a 27-year-old man.
A police spokesman said: “This behavior will not be tolerated as the officers were only doing their job.”
A man has been arrested, charged, and bailed to appear at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court in connection with the incident.
