A police crackdown on theft from vehicles in Shipley has led to two arrests.
A 32-year-old local man and his girlfriend were arrested and charged with a series of thefts. They are currently on remand in prison.
Shipley town centre saw an increase in vehicle crime in last December and January, resulting in an increase in police patrols.
Inspector John Tatham, of Shipley neighbourhood policing team, said: “These charges are a result of hard work by local officers and officers from the divisional CID.
“Both suspects are now in prison awaiting sentencing and this sends a strong message that my staff will proactively target criminals committing crime in Shipley and bring them before the courts.”
