Imagine being granted exclusive access to the extraordinary, charismatic and sinister mind of Grigory Rasputin, the ‘Mad Monk’?
A new play explores what may have happened if Rasputin had survived his assassination and lived on as a prisoner of the Communists, observing the collapse of his beloved Romanov dynasty.
Rasputin’s Mother, written by Michael Davies and staged by Yorkshire theatre company Encore Drama, offers a new perspective on the mysterious Rasputin.
It will be performed at Ilkley Playhouse today and tomorrow at 7.30pm.
